June Rides & Rocky Mountain Highs

Colorado Triumph Riders – June 2025 Newsletter

June 2025 Ride Report: High Country, High Spirits

As June unfolds, Colorado's high mountain passes are shedding their winter coats, revealing winding roads and breathtaking vistas that beckon riders to explore. With the snow retreating, it's prime time to venture into the high country and experience the thrill of riding through alpine landscapes.

Upcoming Events

June 21: Triumphs, Friends, & Coffee – Fort Collins Edition

Join us at Northern Colorado Powersports in Fort Collins at 10:00 AM for our monthly coffee meetup. It's a great opportunity to connect with fellow riders, share stories, and discuss upcoming adventures.

June 29: Peaks & Passes – A Ride to Aspen

Kickstands up at 7:30 AM from Starbucks, 6735 N. Carefree Circle, Colorado Springs, CO 80922. This ride will take us through some of the most scenic routes to Aspen, offering breathtaking views and exhilarating twists and turns. Riders from other locations, we will meet at the Love's Country Store in Buena Vista to all go over Independence Pass together with a KSU of 10:00am. For our Western Slope riders we'll have the lunch at the White House Tavern and plan to roll in there fairly close to noon.

Riding Tips: Navigating Colorado's High Elevation Roads

  • Acclimate Gradually: High altitudes can affect both rider and machine. Take time to acclimate and be aware of signs of altitude sickness.

  • Monitor Weather Conditions: Mountain weather can change rapidly. Always check forecasts before heading out and be prepared for sudden changes.

  • Maintain Your Bike: Ensure your motorcycle is in top condition. Pay special attention to brakes and tires, as mountain roads can be demanding.

  • Stay Hydrated: The combination of physical exertion and high altitude can lead to dehydration. Drink plenty of water throughout your ride.

  • Protect Against the Sun: High-elevation sun exposure is no joke. Wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and consider a tinted visor to reduce glare and sunburn.

Looking Ahead

Stay tuned for an exciting announcement coming on June 2nd or shortly after regarding the Spring Thaw 2026. We're already planning for another unforgettable event to kick off the next riding season.
